Laure Manaudou is one of the world's most beautiful sports stars so the news that her former boyfriend has posted nude photos and a sex tape video on the internet has caused a minor storm.

The French swimmer had left France earlier in 2007 and moved to Italy to be with her boyfriend, Italian Luca Marin. Laure Manaudou holds the French hopes for a swimming medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and fears rose that the Italians would push for a marriage and for Laure Manaudou to change her nationality for Italy's benefit.

However, the couple recently split up and Luca Marin is now being accused of posting both nude photos and a sex video featuring Laure Manaudou on the internet.

"I know nothing about the video and have only seen the photos. Yes, it looks like it's really her but it is ridiculous to think it was me who put them there,'' Marin told the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

A gold medallist at the Athens Olympics in 2004, Laure Manaudou and Marin had a very public break-up during the short-course swimming championships in Hungary where both were competing. The following day both the nude photos and video appeared online.

Given the beauty of Manaudou and her popularity in France the photos have spread around. Given the more relaxed feelings towards nudity of the French there have been some semi nude photos of Laure Manaudou in the past and we can only hope she does a more professional photo shoot in the future.
